Cleanslate in New Indianapolis Clinic, State Gov Expands MAT

07/08/2017 - ATIN - Cleanslate Addiction Treatment Centers, the Nashville-based specialist in private medication-assisted (MAT) clinics, said Friday it will soon open in Indianapolis, IN, its fifth location in the state. The announcement comes right on the heels of last week's high profile press conference by Governor Eric Holcomb announcing the opening of five new Indiana state-funded MAT centers.

Cleanslate said its new Indianapolis location will likely be open before summer's end, by which time it expects to have opened 11 clinics so far this year across six states. The company's expansion pace has picked up dramatically, with Cleanslate nearly doubling in size so far this year to 28 clinics in seven states with a total of 6,000 active patients.

Governor Holcomb made the MAT services expansion announcement in Greenwood, In, at Valle Vista center, one of Indiana's top specialist providers of mental health and addictions care. In addition to the new clinics, Indiana will now cover methadone maintenance for those on its Medicaid rolls, the governor said.

But it's not all blue skies for MAT in the state. This week, privately held Boyett Treatment Centers withdrew plans to open a MAT satelite clinic in Austin, IN, citing city council NIMBY opposition.
